Alejandro received his Master of Music in Jazz Performance and Pedagogy from the University of Colorado, Boulder, where he focused his research on the vibrant history and cultural influence of the music of Cuba.

Currently, he is a lecturer at the University of Colorado at Boulder, and an instructor at Front Range Community College and Colorado Conservatory for the Jazz Arts, teaching drumset, percussion, jazz history and music theory. Alejandro can frequently be seen performing at Denver’s local jazz venues, festivals, and beyond.
